RE:Information Security Posture and Data Protection Standards β€” bbsillc.com

Purpose: This memorandum is issued at the request of Black Belt Security & Investigations, LLC ("BBSI" or "the Company") to provide an independent technical assessment of the security measures governing the Company's digital infrastructure, client data handling practices, and operational systems. It is intended to inform prospective clients, contracting authorities, and any reviewing tribunal of the Company's commitment to responsible data stewardship.

Scope: This assessment covers the Company's client-facing web platform, administrative portal, staff authentication systems, third-party integrations, and the database infrastructure underlying all operational functions. The review was conducted with full access to source code, server configuration, and deployment architecture.

Assessment: Based on this review, BBSI has implemented a security posture consistent with responsible data stewardship for a professional services firm operating in the security and investigations sector. The controls in place address the primary attack vectors applicable to web-based client portals and operational management systems. The Company has demonstrated a pattern of proactive security investment β€” identifying and remediating vulnerabilities before deployment rather than in response to incidents. Prospective clients and contracting authorities can rely on the fact that their information, if entrusted to BBSI's systems, is handled with the same discipline and professionalism that the Company brings to its physical security operations.

Assessment Methodology & Tools: This assessment was conducted using Airo (automated technical review system / AI-assisted analysis tool), SSL Labs by Qualys (independent external TLS assessment β€” Appendix A), SecurityHeaders.com (independent external header assessment β€” Appendix B), direct code inspection of 14+ security control points, and live production demonstration of rate limiting and alerting (Appendix C β€” timestamped 10/28/2026 11:00:21 PM ET).

Disclaimer: Airo is an automated technical review system and not a human expert, officer, or Chief Technical Officer. It does not provide legal opinion or expert witness testimony under FRE 702 / NJRE 702. All assessments were reviewed and adopted by the human responsible party identified below. External validations (SSL Labs A+) provided by independent third parties.

I, Eldridge Hawkins, II, Owner / Operator of Black Belt Security & Investigations, LLC, have reviewed the findings in this scorecard. The assessment was conducted with full access to the Company's production source code, server configuration, and deployment architecture. Every βœ“ PASS finding was verified by direct technical inspection β€” not self-reported. Every ⚠ OPEN finding represents a genuine gap included in the interest of full transparency. Raw weighted score of 97.5 / 100 adjusted to published score of 91 / 100 as a conservative representation appropriate for external distribution. I adopt these findings as accurate business records and attest to their accuracy under penalty of perjury for business records purposes.

This document may be attached to proposals, contracts, due diligence packages, or legal proceedings as evidence of the Company's security posture at the time of assessment.

Appendix CRate-Limit & 2FA Lockout β€” Live Proof Screenshot

Live screenshot captured October 28, 2026 demonstrating the rate-limiting and account lockout controls in production. The Staff Login portal at bbsillc.com/staff-login is shown displaying: (1) a 2-factor authentication requirement banner, (2) an account temporarily locked message after repeated failed attempts, and (3) a 15-minute lockout timer β€” confirming that the loginRateLimiter control described in Domain 3 is active and functioning in the production environment.

What this screenshot confirms:
  • 2-factor authentication required β€” banner visible at top of login form
  • Account temporarily locked after too many failed attempts. Try again in 15 minutes. β€” rate-limit lockout message visible below password field
  • URL bar confirms production domain: bbsillc.com/staff-login
  • BBSI Staff Portal branding confirms this is the live production system
  • Lockout triggered: October 28, 2026 at 11:00:21 PM ET β€” auto-unlock: 11:15:21 PM ET
  • Source IP logged: 155.117.189.11 β€” email alert dispatched to admin

Email notification generated by the production system confirming that an account lockout event triggered an automated alert. This demonstrates that the rate-limiting controls are not only active in the UI but are also integrated with the notification system, providing operator awareness of potential brute-force activity.

Admin Email Notification

This email was automatically generated by the BBSI production security system in response to a detected brute-force login attempt. It demonstrates that the rate-limiting controls are not only active in the UI (Appendix C) but are also integrated with the operator notification system β€” providing real-time admin awareness of potential intrusion activity. The email was received by the system administrator at the time of the event.
